General knowledge - Part 2
Get yourself a foundational knowledge in all aspects of your life before using 5 hour rule
For those of you, who have read my general knowledge series-part 1, you will know that I have just covered 5 hour rule, as the best technique to use for improving your general knowledge.
In this part, I am just rather going to talk about different areas of study and different subjects. Although the content will massively rely on academic content, I do want to remind that emotional health and self-care are the best thing that is going to contribute to your success. So, if your goal is to be successful, just look through some of these articles below in ascending order:
If you have come to this point, make sure your goal is for improving your general knowledge for success instead of looking for real success ‘s factors. Then, feel free to check out the content below. Else, it won’t be really promising.
Improving your General knowledge
General knowledge versus specialized area of study
No wonder how many people think general knowledge is for people who are not specialized in a certain area of study or someone who are abnormally intelligent. In my opinion, it is neither the people with high IQs and the people who are just briefly learning different subjects are in your control. It is rather improving yourself right now is going to change your life dramatically.
Academic General knowledge
Whatsoever, here are a list of academic topics that I am going to cover in this article:
Science
Math
1. Science
Science is an immense field with different related subjects especially with philosophy. If you look at the Buddha’s answer from a person who asks what is the universe, he would answer it is a distraction from the practice to Nirvana(the ending of infinite life). This can actually be correct as scientists predict there are multiverse(which are other universes with different physics), so probably buddha refuses to answer because there are infinite possibilities of laws of universe.
2. Math
This is an important subject for most people and they still think it is a super complex subject that most people will not even understand a portion. This is also a compulsory subject when learning science on whole, so you should learn this before getting into other topics.
Moreover, if you want to get a detailed guideline, there is this youtube channel called Math Sorcerer, who is really good at delivering math books and mathematical concepts.
This is a youtube video of him, featuring a full curriculum for learning mathematics to fullest.
3. Languages
This is by far something that most people think “not really difficult but important” . However, because I am someone who is pessimistic about saying important but not implementing anything, I would recommend using 5 hour rule and fivefolded pathway to keep consistent and ethical about your work.
Moreover, I want to talk you about my language learning technique that is proven by Steve Kaufman. These are the steps:
For a couple of days, start learning alphabets or use duolingo to have fun with learning the language.
Grab a textbook(recommend using Teach yourself series) with audio file which you can deeply enhance your comprehension skills.
After finishing the textbook, use LingQ to import intermediate articles from web and start listening to podcast directed for learners.
Afterall, never stop using a language will help you get to proficiency.
Summary
In later episode, I will go depth in emotion health and self care as these are important part
